The voices you hear start with the Mayor of the Town of Canmore, Sean Krausert. It’s followed by, in his view, a more important acknowledgment of how these lands are private, and how development has always been futile. We then listen to Councillors Jeff Maw and Wade Graham. The finished piece shows our wildlife corridor here in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains “hanging by a thread.” The weight of the antler pulls the piece down, threatening to break the connection at any moment.

The colours shift from the top of the hourglass down into darkness. I hope it can all hang on.
